DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION

Based on the renowned Japanese manga/anime franchise, the live-action DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION follows the adventures of young Goku (Justin Chatwin of WAR OF THE WORLDS), who is drawn into the legacy of the mystical spheres of the title, and trains to become a powerful warrior with the aid of the wise but lewd Master Roshi (Chow Yun-Fat) and the weapons-loving Bulma (Emmy Rossum), among others. This small band of fighters must face off against the evil warlord Piccolo (James Marsters) and his minions to avert the end of the world.

I was invited to go see this in theaters, even though I promised myself I would never see this movie. I could already tell it was going to tip toe and splash in and out of what Dragonball was truly supposed to portray. I will say this was one of the worst movies I have seen in the year 2009, I regret seeing it. But at least I never have to see it again. I have seen other peoples reviews and I being a fan of Dragonball was seriously disappointed. First off the casting was a tad lame, Roshi was a disappointment in the fact that he was so strong in the cartoon but in the movie he seemed like more of a hindrance. I didn't like the modern theme they threw into the movie, with the speculation of word of mouth before the movie was released people were saying Flying nimbus was the yellow car. That wasn't the case and even though Gohan was supposed to die by Goku, They thought they would make it short and sweet and let Piccolo off him. Bulma should have been younger in fact the entire cast should have been younger. Chi Chi was already a fighter and what Goku couldn't let her know about his powers until she mentioned something to him about Ki? I had a lot of issues with this film and gave so much disappointment I could only wish others learn from my mistake, Don't see it.

Race to whitch mountain

Okay I remember seeing this when it was a Disney original movie, and the two kids were orphans until a big tycoon takes them in to exploit there special abilities. I liked that one and been trying to see about getting a rip of it, but to no avail as of yet. Here are some pictures from the one I liked, Oh and I seem to be having a bit of a disagreement about the title of this one (Beyond witch mountain)

Well on to the 2009 Race to witch mountain review:

In Las Vegas, the regenerated ex-con Jack Bruno (Dwayne Johnson) works as taxi driver. During an UFO Convention at Planet Hollywood, the skeptical Jack picks up Dr. Alex Friedman,(Carla Gugino) who will present a scientific lecture in the event. Then he is pressed by two henchmen of his former boss, the criminal Wolff, that wants to talk to him, but Jack does not want to return to the crime life. Jack fights and gets rid of them; out of the blue, he finds two teenagers on the backseat of his cab. They tell that they are siblings, Sara(AnnaSophia Robb) and Seth(Alexander Ludwig), and they need to travel to a location outside Las Vegas in the middle of nowhere.

Thats pretty much the beginning along the way we have agents trying to get to the kids. They meet up with a random dog. The taxi get's totaled, all the while being chased down by an alien assassin.

I enjoyed watching the movie, I did watch it twice and felt it was performed to the best of it's abilities. Since they wanted to make it a present attempt to the movie. Odd the hero ends up being a Taxi driver, in the one I liked the hero was a private driver though. The Alien expo was an added touch of hilarity, I could see him having the luck of bumping into the kids when all this is going on in Vegas. Anyways, I suggest people watch this at least one time and consider trying to see the earlier versions. Almost all the earlier versions have differences from each other.
Here are some Pic's please enjoy!

Coraline

The amazing amount of work that came to make this movie must have been so incredible to watch. If I ever help make a movie I know I would want to have it be just like Coraline.

One movie that I saw this year that I adored was Coraline, this movie was so creepy that I enjoyed every moment of it. Vivid stop-motion animation combined with Neil Gaiman's imaginative story, Coraline is a film that's both visually stunning and wondrously entertaining. This was a pleasure to watch but be cautious of the age you allow your children to watch it at. Possible nightmares can occur with a slight chance of upset children, it is still a wonderful movie.

I have a detailed summary of the movie:
eerily eye-popping stop-motion animation tale of fractured dreams and families made whole. As the films opens, Coraline Jones (voiced by Dakota Fanning) and her parents (Teri Hatcher, John Hodgman) have moved into the Pink Palace, a once-vibrant boarding house that’s turned drab and dilapidated. As her parents work feverishly on a new gardening catalog, the bored and belligerent Coraline is admonished to explore her new world’s possibilities. Along the way she meets her fellow tenants, including two aging English showgirls and a mouse-training Russian acrobat, as well as an outcast neighborhood boy named Wybie. But it is a mysterious hidden door that most piques Coraline’s interest--a gateway to a parallel world where her "other" parents and neighbors live only to see Coraline well fed and endlessly entertained. All is not cakes and carnivals for Coraline, though, and the black buttons that have replaced the eyes of these otherworldly imitations hint at darker intentions. When these intentions are revealed, Cora and a friendly magical cat use their wits and willpower to defeat Coraline’s wicked "other mother" and restore balance in the real world.

I enjoyed the creepy feel this movie gave and when you think about it strictly you realize this movie is seriously corrupt. Leaving your own world to join a perfect one is always the wrong way to go about it. You must have forgotten the saying the grass is always greener on the other side. Well when indulge yourself in false fantasy getting back to reality can be even harder. I did enjoy how Coraline became really logical about what was going on, the girl ends up having a pretty good mind in that bizarre little head of her's.

(I will mention this though when she was eating and drinking at the dinner table in the other world....you got to wonder how disgusting it was when reality hit that fake food, I mean the mice turn into some pretty creepy rodents so you have to figure...Ewwww)

Thanks for reading!

Left 4 Dead

I play this game often with my younger brother, when my sister has her boyfriend over its a different story and they play at that point. When they play there main objective is to Troll other players though. It is a very easy game to Troll others in especially when people are working towards there expert mode. I on the other hand play for the game, to win is my goal. this game puts survival to the test and can only happen if you gather your friends or hope for some smart AI power. I don't play Versus mode that often but when I do I enjoy being the smoker. Hiding on top of a building until someone gets careless and strays from the group sound's thrilling to me. This is a game I suggest everyone play, the 2nd is coming out soon though. In a way it feel's like we got a Demo and when the 2nd one comes out we get to enjoy the real deal. That kind of bum's me out, but even with that being the case we will still be getting the 2nd one. Very fun congrats VALVE for a job well done.

Pro's of this game are
  • Dynamic enemy placement make each play-through different
  • Tight controls and well-tuned guns
  • Stiff challenge makes survival difficult and thrilling
  • Versus mode expertly turns the tables
  • Killing survivors is as fun as killing zombies (if not more so).

THE INFECTED

THE WITCH: DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS GIRLS SOB'S, IF YOU SCARE HER PLAN TO KILL HER OR SHE WILL RIP YOU INTO TINY PIECES. LURES YOU IN WITH A CHILD LIKE CRY AND FRIGHTENS EASILY.

THE TANK: ONE OF THE MOST BROKEN INFECTED, TO COME CHARGING AT YOU. HE HAS SOME NASTY POWER BEHIND HIS PUMMELING AND CAN TOSS PORTIONS OF THE CONCRETE STRAIGHT AT YOU. MOST OF THE TIME HIS MAIN JOB IS TO EITHER KILL OR ATTEMPT TO GET YOU ON THE GROUND SO THE HORDE OR A HUNTER CAN FINISH YOU OFF.

THE SMOKER: THIS PUFF OF SMOKE COMES WITH A LONG TONGUE TO CONSTRICT THE SURVIVORS FROM GREAT DISTANCES, BETTER MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FRIEND NEAR BY...OR ELSE DANGLE TO YOUR DEATH.

THE HUNTER: ONE OF MY FAVORITES HE LEAPS AROUND TRYING TO POUNCE ON ANY OF THE SURVIVORS, TO RIP THEM INTO SHREDS.

THE BOOMER: HE USES HIS VOMIT TO COVER THE SURVIVORS IN HIS GREEN GOO, THIS CAUSES A HORDE TO COME FOR WHOMEVER IS COVERED IN IT.

MY YOUNGEST BROTHERS FAVORITE CHARACTER IS LOUIS

HERE ARE SOME SHOTS OF POSSIBLE GAME PLAY:

Fallout 3

One of the largest RPG I have ever played aside from Final Fantasy games. I was completely 100% against playing this game until one afternoon while I was bored out of my mind I decided to give it a shot. Now the rest of my family had been playing this a lot and I held off for at least 6 month's. I started playing and found out as my brother rushed to see what I did my first few moments of life. You can choose how your stats start and what you look like right at the beginning. You almost always end up doing something different then those that played before you. This game is worth playing more then once and even at that it takes up a good portion of your life because it has so many different task's and side quests. Main objective is a search to find your missing dad, but with over 100 different quest's not to mention down loadable content your life will be occupied.

One creature I disliked a lot was the Feral ghoul Reavers.

They are so difficult to kill its almost ridiculous.

Some of the Pro's:
  • Freedom to explore what you want, when you want
  • Fantastic, intricate quests can be completed in a variety of satisfying ways
  • VATS combat system results in all sorts of tense and gruesome encounters
  • Outstanding art design makes for a desolate DC
  • Rewarding mixture of excitement and atmospheric exploration.
I will say this, this game was incredible and I regret not playing sooner!

one messed up turn of event's would happen to be when I Came back to one of my towns 2 times the first time 2 of the people were killed off by a big brain before I had to take it down. The 2nd time 2 yao guai killed off everyone but this solo boy, don't get me wrong the creatures tried killing him off. Just kid's can't be killed in the game so he was just being swung at, till I killed the two.

Very fun game!

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Surprisingly I disliked the Wii, I didn't intend on playing it but when my brother brought home a game for his birthday and said we should all play as a gift to him I gave in. Super Smash Bros. Brawl the pro's:
  • Relatively lag-free online multiplayer
  • The ability to share game replays, screenshots, and custom levels with friends
  • A massive yet surprisingly balanced character roster
  • Tons of ways to customize your matches
  • A lengthy single-player adventure mode.
I will say this, playing can take an enormous amount of your time. Especially if you have friends with nintendo's Wi-Fi! I would have liked to see more characters or maybe even a chance to advance the game play through an update. Sadly whatever they managed to throw out was what you got. A character that got completely thrashed since the 1st and 2nd would have to be adult Link. Broken characters would be Wario with so many non-flinch attacks and Pikachu and is B down spam. All in all this was a great game to play, I enjoyed it very much. Oh and my character of choice happens to be Zelda she has a Broken B side attack.
